Of course, Sade knows that love can stink: listen to the dub-riddim-tinged "Every Word" and cry tears of recognition. Smooth and relaxing. I like it so much, it is currently/still in the playlist of my iPod Touch. Very good for when sitting in rush hour traffic.
The only thing that I can say about this CD is that it was in wonderful condition and of course Sade's muzick is awesome.LOVE HER MUSIC.the party that I purchased it from took way past estimated shipping time to send me my items (Abunda Trade).that was the only thing that I was not pleased w/.
It's truely LONG over due. Sade truely pours her heart and soul into her work. I haven't written many reviews on Amazon and I honestly waivered between whether I wanted to chime in on how great 2Pac's All Eyez On Me double CD is or how much rock is missing a kick a$$ album like GNR's Appetite for Destruction. I believe that this album was released in 1999 and after truely "listening" to it for the first time in a few years I can see why it takes Sade so long to craft each album. PERIOD. If you don't already own this CLASSIC I strongly recommend that you pick up the DVD/CD combo pack. After recently watching the Lovers Rock concert DVD I settled somewhere in the middle.I am a product of the 80's & 90's and I can honestly say that I feel that Sade is in a class all her own. She elavates her artistry and offers her fans the purest view of her soul that we have ever seen.
I will not give the track by track break down of songs. You won't be disapointed.Sade, please provide your fans with another work of your masterful art. It's funny. Madonna, Janet, Mariah, Whitney, and the others all are great artist in their own right but Sade's uncompromising and unfaltering sound is truely timesless.On Lovers Rock Sade does not dissapoint. All that I will tell you is that if you like I am a TRUE fan of all REAL music then you MUST own this CD.
:) I've been listening to this CD for years and never get tired of it. I love every song on this CD. My two favorite's are Every Word and By Your Side. I love it.
From start to finish, each of her CD's tells a series of stories that anyone who's been in love can relate to. Sade will always be a part of my music collection. I've been listening to Sade since her debut and she never ceases to amaze me with wonderful vocals. Her voice captures all those emotions and lulls you into that 'special' place in your heart.
